Doll Baby...

Here's Amelia's one month photo shoot.

I can't believe she's already a month old. Time really flies when you're taking care of a helpless infant!

I scored on both the baby doll bed and the colorful quilt- $12 total. Amelia's cuteness- priceless, of course!

I adjusted the color and exposure of the photos (playing around with effects). I was going for a technicolor look. I can't decide if I like it or not. What do you think?

Matching Outfits From Grandma!

My mom sewed these adorable matching outfits for her 2 grand-daughters- Riley and Amelia.

She used a doll clothes pattern to make the pants for Amelia. They are so tiny. She's probably already too big for them!

A-Splishin' And A-Splashin'

Amelia loves taking baths. And her Daddy gives the best baths ever. (He's in charge of bathing the pup, too.)

This was her first sponge bath at home. She was 7 days old.

She never cries during her baths, but she really hates it when the fun is over. She gets really fussy when it's time to put her clothes back on. Love my neked baby!

I will save these pictures to show her future boyfriends.

Life Goes On...

So much has happened since our last post. Amelia and I are home and learning to take care of each other during the long days while Daddy is at work.

We have reached the one month mark! Amelia had a doctor's appointment this week and now weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces (finally back to
her birth weight).

Hands On The Babe...

I almost forgot about this picture taken at the hospital just after Amelia was born.

I love it because it looks like Amelia is a bridge connecting us.

This is our new family.

Meeting The Family...

The day after we got home from the hospital, Grandma Glenda, Grandpa Fred, and Cousin Riley came for a visit...

Good Morning, Amelia...

I love her eyes in this video- such a silly girl.

Sucka!

Amelia found her hands right away and loves to have her fingers near her face all the time. (She has Mommy's long fingers.) She pats her own chubby cheeks and even plays with her hair sometimes. I think she likes how soft it feels.

She's working on figuring out how to suck her thumb now. It would be nice to get rid of the paci!

Angel Baby...

Kenny calls MiMi his Angel and in this picture she's glowing just like an angel!

Sweet babe...

We stayed in the hospital for 5 days and while Momma had mostly restless nights and very little sleep, Amelia had no trouble catching some zzz's. I couldn't lift her out of her bassinet, so I spent a lot of time holding her. Several nurses warned us that it would spoil her. And just what's wrong with that?

She loved being swaddled tightly. I have continued to swaddle her at home and it really helps her sleep at night. She sleeps between 4 and 6 hours in a row at night!

Curly Sue?

I had to double check her bracelet to make sure this was really our baby. Curly hair? Apparently amniotic fluid adds great texture and volume!

Anybody interested in some of our homemade placenta shampoo?
